Red/Green Still Life Theater Block-IN

In this video, I share my studio set-up, consolidate my palette into fewer, larger piles of paint and add wax to the mixtures. I do a block-in of the theater that toggles between references- print-outs, observation, and color relationships from my Color Lab work.

I am just getting to know the elements of the composition at this point- using the contrasts on my palette to navigate the shapes and rhythms. I am NOT being faithful to a temperature of light structure; rather, I am working intuitively and using colors in a way that helps me understand the main parts of the image.
